Ariela ran from the slaves camp. As she entered a dark forest Ariela looked behind her. She could smell humans nearby, so quietly she walked on. She had tiptoed on, hoping that she wasn't being followed. Dawn had just risen, and the forest was getting lighter. Kar...Where are you?...Ariela climbed a tree, and looked over at the surrounding areas with her cat eyes. No-one had noticed her disappearance. She gave a small purr, and jumped down. Ariela walked on.

Kar streaked through the heavens. Anger boiling. His face a mask of pain and fury. How could he have thought anyone would have liked him? Liked him! He recoiled bitterly from the hostality he possessed. Kar....Where are you?... came the faintist whisper. This stopped the young angel in mid flight. Was he imagioning this? Yes, he must of been. Yet... it had happened before. With..Ariela. Kar sped forwards once more. Ariela, the girl who had used him. Liked him, then hated him. He had fallen for her tricks. Not again. He spun. changing course and flew, even without noticing, in the direction of the absent call.

Lexy bought Ariela as a slave a чear ago , she had also bought another slve called Tom.Ariela and Tom had become good friends after the чear theч spent toether clearing up after Lexy. Lexy Lived in the darkest part of the forest , there was nothing there except her home. Ariela had escaped from Lexч but she still had Tom as her slave. She was furious that Ariela had escaped and was determined to find her...

Ariela heard the sound of wing-beats nearby. 'Kar? Kar!' She called loudly. No answer. I'm so sorry Kar... And Tom...While Ariela had been a slave, she had made a friend, Tom. She had told him of her and Kar...and how they were childhood friends, and how Ariela had said those things to him, to save his life. Tom had told her to go, he had helped her escape. Soon after gathering her strength she would return and save him.

Erika, searched the dark woods for anything that would prove her claim of Caelin's heir. It had been a year since her 16th birthday, and still nothing...

Kar frowned. This call was from atually vocal cords. It was aloud. Not mental this time. He scanned the near land, his hawk like eyes giving him the advantage. "Ariela," he called uncertantly. He twisted, making a shallow loop before soaring up. Hoping to catch sight of the woman who had betray him. Why? he did not know. How? there was no answer to that either. He looked away, unable to bare the thought of why he was so deserate to find someone who did not want him.

Ariela sank to her knees. Then she heard her name. 'Kar? I...' She started, scanning the skies with her purple cat eyes. She saw him above her. 'There was no other way...Kar I'm sorry.' Ariela stood up and climbed a large oak. The sun was shining brightly where she stood, and Ariela put a arm on her head to shade her delicate eyes.

"I'm sorry..." was all that could have been heard of her sentance but that was enough to make Kar hesitate. He truely did not belive that she ment it yet he could not help but wonder. "Ariela?" he called a little louder, hollow and uneven. He hovered above where the voice had sounded, hoping to catch it again.

Ariela sat in the tree, and did not answer. Why would he still like me...let alone love me...?Her dark blond tail flicked above the branches for a second. Ariela remembered how well they got on as children. I still love you Kar... Something flapped its wings above her.

His hawk eyes darted through the forest, searching for what he hoped to find. A small flash of a tail, hair. It was her. He looked down with a frown and began to dessend. What would he say? what could he say? He slowly edged towards the girl he had thought he had known. His face impassive, emotionless, giving nothing away.

A face appeared between the branches. 'Kar!' She put her arms around him, then suddenly realizing what she had done put them by her sides. 'I...I told...said those things for your own good...otherwise you would have been captured too...I'm really sorry Kar...'

His winds whispered to him, telling him of the sorrow and regret the girl felt but he turned away from them, unable to take the truth. "You left me," he spoke, voice much more steady than he felt. "Left me!" his voice rose to above a whisper and he ground his teeth painfully. A muscle jumped in his jaw as he flexed them and his large hands curled into fists. He look away. He bristled. His hawk eyes caught the flicker of dust as it settled to the forest floor. He didn't move, react in any way. Wait for her to explain herself.

'When we were in the wood, the day that I...I saw human slave traders nearby. They were closing in, and...I didn't want anybody to get hurt...so I told you that I hated you to make you leave. They found me and they hurt me. I was put at first in a slave camp, and then was sold to a woman. She Tortured me asking me, things. And I escaped. Somehow I escaped to find you...

Kar looked doubtful but relaxed alittle. Not letting it get to his head. She had all the reason to lie to him again and this time it would hurt more. "Fine," he crossed his pale arms, "You found me, now what?" he snapped.

I tried so hard!...and yet you never once noticed...never once looked. We were friends Kar. Friends! And you think I am lying to you!?' Ariela could see in his face that he did not believe her. She jumped down off the tree.

Kar followed suit, "What do expect?" he asked calmly, so calm that it was almost unnatural. So calm that it was obvious that this effected him, "There are ways to make people leave you. That was not one of them. Not if you wish to keep that person in your life." His handsome face was screwed up tight with bottled emotions. "What now?" he said more quietly.

'That's because I'm not the person everyone wanted me to be! And anyway, I was Protecting you from harm!' Ariela could smell humans not far away. 'Keep your voice down if you want to stay alive!' She told him in a whisper. 'As you do not want to see me I will go!' Ariela told Kar before transforming into a cat and darting into the shadows.

Kar sighed and buffed his wings, beating them to rise into the sky. She will come back, he thought to himself and darted into the skies.

Ariela ran on her four legs. Under logs and over anything before her. She stopped and transformed back. Tears ran down her beautiful face, as she stood there. Ariela sank to her knees and remembered all the happy childhood memories with Kar.

Kar rolled his eyes, he hadn't had the guts to move to far away. He was always drawn back this way. He watched from above, Ariela sniff and cry. What should he do? "Ariela?" he whispered, willing her to hear him.

Ariela heard her voice spoken. She looked around at the forest but no-one was there. 'I must of imagined it.' Ariela said aloud. She wiped the tears from her face and sat on the forest floor. What shall I do now? Why did you do this Kar?

Kar settled beside her from above. "What did I do?" he growled in a hurt.

'I'll give you some time to think it over.' Ariela told him angrily. She walked away. Her blond hair fell in front of her face. She pushed it away irritably.

Kar looked after the young women, he watch her walk away. Unable to move or do anything of the sort, just watching as she strutted away, followed swiftly by his broken bleeding heart.
